I downsized from a 28 ft long motorhome to a Kimbo on a Toyota Tacoma and I cannot be happier! The Kimbo is the perfect size for one or two people to go on great adventures anywhere! I love how easy it is to get prepped and on the road. I have parallel parked it in big cities and enjoyed how dark the inside can get with the blackout shades while camping in the high-desert. I am very pleased with this purchase and the continued support I get from Evan and the Kimbo family. Thanks y'all!
To say that I love my kimbo camper is an understatement, only surpassed by the customer service I have experienced particularly with Evan! You would think that I'm the only customer, every time I call he already knows my name And we even chat about adventures much less it comes up with fantastic solutions to some creative modifications that I have done. I purchased my Kimbo 6 last summer after years of watching Kimbo owner YouTube videos and following their social media accounts. I'm a true outdoorman who loves simplicity. Kimbo checked off all of the boxes on what I was looking for in a small living area while I'm in the road traveling. I'm currently in the first week of living out of my Kimbo and it has been a great experience! I'm living off grid with 200 watts of solar and a battery bank and it has performed flawlessly. There are a few things that I think could be better, and Kimbo is always open to feedback from their customer base. It's been nothing but a great experience so far with my purchase. 👍 A+
Kimbo delivered Nov 2025. Took a 7 week road trip in January. 5,000 miles, with some temps of 10 below zero, visiting family and friends in 4 different states. Having my own comfy bed and private cozy space was a huge plus. I grew up camping in an aluminum 1965 Shasta pickup camper. Nothing seemed as cool as it until I saw a Kimbo headed to Wallowa Lake!! As airstream trailer owners, aesthetics and quality is a must for us. KIMBO is a small American company that takes pride in what they create. I saw it in production and also have felt it with the 4 employees we have interacted with. Appreciated that they didn't try and sell me what I didn't need, but only what I requested. What a great company and a great camper. I went to the factory to see how they're made and they let me ask all kinds of questions. These things are seriously well-made! Also the ability to customize what you do and don't want installed in the camper when you buy it is key.
I would definitely recommend purchasing a Kimbo camper. I met Evan Van Metre at an overlander show in Santa Rosa, California, in September of 2025. I got to look at the Kimbo in person and was impressed with the interior space and overall build quality.
